Did you know that during the Great Emu War in 1932, Australia found itself battling not another nation, but a flock of emus? After World War I, soldiers returning home were given farmland in Western Australia, but the land was unsuitable for crops. When 20,000 emus migrated inland, they decimated the crops, leading to the government deploying soldiers with machine guns. Surprisingly, the emus proved to be more elusive than anticipated, evading capture and continuing their raid on the crops. The "war" ended with the emus victorious, showcasing their resilience and the unpredictability of nature! ๐ฆคโจ 0 reply
