Tech has never been this artless which is super annoying because Iāve never seen so many artists this closely involved with developers. Itās not a great look if you want creatives onboarding

I think corporations like superrare gatekeep the ātasteā and ābeautyā. But on the other side.. Marketplaces like opensea categorize and treat art too closely to other financial digital assets with their charts and analytics UI. They also have no failsafe or curation against stolen artwork or AI slop.

Totally this. Whatās bugging me is branding and communications. There are so many people here who canāt make products more appealing and easy to understand. Teams literally communicating they see no value in good design or copy. Itās not great

Tbh itās hard. Hereās my thesis. From a Web3 UI Designerās perspectiveā¦ 3 things: Lack of skills due to bootcamps, Lack of articulation skills (gritty sales) Lack of stakeholder co-signs Since designer got a cozy 60k-100k design job in web3. No need to trade memecoins, no incentive to test the tech or point out the obviously flaws in the system. No incentive for a technical background. Society is used to copy/pasting flows. eg, warpcaster & zora. They view exploratory design as wasteful, after allā¦ weāre early. We just have to be the first to plug in a smart contract. Right? Articulating value is the hardest part for any designer, most donāt have sales grit. It isnāt taught. But itās required in stakeholder meetings. The new designers canāt explain their work anyways because they did a Linkedin bootcamp or copied a tutorial. They arenāt passionate. Even when they are, they sit back cause dev knows more. (sorry this is sloppy explanation I may write about this in depth.)

Would love for you to write more 222 $degen There is a lot I donāt know but what do know is growth hacking, vc funding has ruined vibes. The notion this is a collaborative environment is dead. There are great professional designers and writers out here with a great deal of experience onboarding people to web 3, not to mention educating in web2. They can learn from stakeholders and be more successful doing so. Iām not convinced founders canāt do a whole lot better. Steve Jobs just couldnāt
