Every summer, my siblings and I would race to our grandmother’s house, a small cottage surrounded by sunflowers. She always had a tin of homemade cookies waiting for us. We’d spend afternoons running through the fields, inventing games and pretending to be adventurers exploring uncharted lands. When the sun began to set, we’d sit on her porch, eating watermelon while she told stories of her youth. The world felt so big yet so safe back then. Those endless days of laughter and simplicity taught me the joy of small moments, a treasure I carry with me even now.
