QC a story you love telling about yourself but your friends and family are bored of hearing... Prince Charles came to open a new wing at our school (it was that kind if school) and the head wanted me in the reception party. I said "fine, but I won't bow." He said I'd have to. I said I wouldn't. He decided not to call my bluff and assigned me to spend the day instead with a special branch copper on security duty who managed to blag me a lift home in the royal Bentley because they didn't know where to refuel it and I did!
