1/ A highlight from my first Consensus was a powerful question posed by a friend/founder: WHOM are we actually building for?

2/ She reminded me that if crypto is truly as revolutionary as we say it is, then its most promising use cases shouldn’t just benefit those who already have access to traditional financial & labor markets.

3/ We also discussed the fact that just because a product *can* be put on chain, doesn’t mean that it *should* be. Maybe, just maybe, the opportunity to incorporate novel tech into a product shouldn’t take precedent to actual human needs.

4/ As I reflect on the uncertain regulatory future for crypto in the US—and the unfortunate politicization of a neutral technology—I’m hearted by this and other “big picture” convos from my week in Austin.
