I’m delighted so many ppl wanna run the next farcon. Multiple farcons, even! I always wanted a truly decentralized conference

But decentralized doesn’t mean uncoordinated. I can be the decider if needed, but I’d rather we talk and decide together

I don’t think we need a decider

I think the community is fully capable of creating events in a decentralized manner

Maybe 2025 has too many events and its chaos, not the end of the world 

So many events are springing up I say let the freedom flow!

Not saying we need a decider or that I want that role. But we can do better than chaos or rushing to stake a claim on the next farcon

Better to have more events than too few IMHO.  Also creates a situation in which teams can gain reputation for their ability to execute an IRL experience.

absolutely, as long it helps to grow the community in a positive manner!

I really like the idea of a lot of events all around the world

Then again, that means a lot of people I'd like to meet IRL would likely be attending one of the smaller events and harder to catch at the same time

I love the idea of a decentralized Conference, maybe start out with a retroactive pool of funds that FarCon hosts can tap into based on predetermined outcomes ( attendee count, sentiment, engagement, etc etc) then let the people decide where they want to go ! 

Maybe FarCons will launch all over the world 🗺️
