do keto people just ignore okinawa where people's diet is 60% sweet potato and average life expectancy for men 80+ years, women 87+ years, and that has one of the highest number of people 100yo+? i just can't follow the logic of keto people if carbs are so bad why do these people live so long?

See, it's not just about the sweet potato. Blue zones live in distinctly different ways than modern 'man' in their modern concrete boxes, alone. Blue zones live: - in proximity to friends, family - to markets where they buy fresh food daily (exercise) - that they cook themselves (work, responsibility, routine)..

- and in proximity to quaint, accessible public spaces where one can sit, observe, interact with or be part of the external world and community Food, nutrition is very much a religion, every one has their way and method. I agree with @grin whole-heartedly that what works for one may not work for another..Why?

wow, you wrote a long thread simply to... defend keto? why? why can't you just accept that keto has no scientific proof of working long term and that it is an unnecessary self-inflicting suffering that can also have negative effects? the post is about keto hypocrisy aiming at making people read research nothing more
