on my last flight I saw this talk, loved it haven’t been familiar with Jack before, his story is impressive and deeply personal the talk itself is deep, he knows the topic, problems creators face on a level I’ve not seen in a while and great one to learn on the storytelling part as well now on the topic itself, and that’s the thinking I came down to as well a few years back most people, especially in creative fields, don’t want to come up with a unicorn size startup or a company and most founders of digital products want exactly that, maximize profits, get another VC round, sell we already see quite well what happens to those companies who get sold in the end - instagram is a great example of how a great app people loved to use - turned into an ad money making machine addicting people to stay in as long as possible… how many people got happier with that sell? a handful of vcs and original founders? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zUndMfMInc

this but on base bitcoin is the default option, for ethereum we have all of those... 4 different USD Coin and 4 Tether options lol no one is going to use stables on ethereum chains every day because you have to navigate so many chains and menus to get your payment right every time

I think uniswap enabling multichain selection was a choice made too early it's slower and a lot harder to select the asset you want to trade now and now you see all the fake ones from all of the chains if you search, not only yours, on the dropdown also the best UX would be with session keys - I trust uniswap but have to still review and approve and confirm multiple txs for every new token I'm swapping

October 2nd my temporary residency card is expiring, what comes next is why I haven't been as bullish/positive for Portugal and is extremely painful Renewal process is simple, you log into government website, pay, confirm your address and new card will come to your mail. The problem is, as I found out, they only plan to open renewal for cards expiring now - by end of year, and waiting times for the card to be delivered is 4-6 months right now, which I really hope is not true lol So after my card expires and until government processes the renewal, for many months I'm: - locked in Europe and have to cancel all travel plans outside of the country - likely to loose access to every digital app, especially financial - have to defend myself within portugal every time I show my residency card

what are nations striving for nowadays? legacy states pretty much lost their meaning, what are they striving for now? end wars they've started? lower inflation they've created? everything has stopped pretty much uniting people by the place they were born into and the flag people around them are carrying with the anthem they're singing doesn't make sense to me a nation must have it's purpose and goals, so there are already multiple network state attempts with their own purposes, goals and values, I think we'll see exponential growth of those in the coming years this is what's making me excited about joining network states - a shared sense of purpose, values, goals and vision to work towards together, something no other state can offer or even allow in some cases and also because we're focusing on building digital and physical things, coming up with solutions to improve our human lives and people around us, while legacy governments just struggling to keep what they inherited
