inspired by @dwr.eth, the @base team now spends all our time thinking about how we grow:

- quality monthly transacting addresses (qMTA)
- quality monthly transacting builders (qMTB)

there's so much noise (and misdirection) in onchain metrics and it's been very helpful to focus in on the signal.

do you consider someone with an open staking position or an open defi position a "quality users"? even though they aren't transacting they are definitely using!

would consider them quality but they would need to transact to be included in our qMTA metric.
