I wonder if maybe the lack of true purpose in life could be a big contributor to the general apathy and epidemic of isolationism. Polarisation, lack of meaningful discourse about critical issues, lowered attention spans, ignorance. Our society became too soft for its own good. Build resilience not avoidance.
