LOL. Kind of true. I ran that international half marathon with my sister. Detroit<>Windsor. The waterfront in Detroit is not nice nor runnable in the parts our race covered. There was some effort to make it nice and runnable and they have made some progress. https://detroitriverfront.org/riverfront But how much more could have been done if there wasn’t a missing $40mm? 😝 https://www.bridgedetroit.com/detroit-riverfront-conservancy-missing-money-cfo-fired/ Get over to Windsor it’s like a gorgeous waterfront park to run along At this point though all this stuff is extras. Detroit has cops so hard to be too mad. I am at a point w/it where I assume most ppl corrupt

not really sure I agree with the OP’s dunk, for example the roads are worse the second you cross into canada would definitely assume better state funding for parks/green space though

yeah, not sure that’s a can vs. US thing though. montreal is run by the italian mob (and others), for example. I remember living downtown 10yr ago and watching them tear up the same tiny stretch of street 4 times in 2 years. each time they would rip it up and redo the landscaping, concrete/asphalt, etc. it was plainly obvious that it was a racket.
