I think there are some new people, ansem didn’t gain 200k+ followers just from crypto natives. phantom’s metrics also suggest a user base well beyond CT.

my sense is that these aren't people that heard about and bought their first crypto in 2023. my sense is that they mostly got in during the NFT leg of the last cycle

don't have a strong data or even anecdote
just haven't met a lot of people who this is their truly first cycle

yeah that’s totally possible, I think I’d still consider them “new” but I know what you mean.

somehow crypto still hasn’t hit a mainstream adoption phase this cycle despite 100k btc, it’s kinda sad in a way.

yeah, selfishly I view it as bullish because it means the parabolic phase has a higher ceiling 

but also it’s kind of remarkable how crypto manages to remain this niche little cottage industry (lol) between brief windows of mainstream attention
