I don’t think we need other general purpose clients right now It’s a hard sell to compete against Warpcast (shoutout @woj.eth and SC for being ballers) It’s like what Dixon said in that podcast - it’s not even the existence of an alt client that gives users leverage, but the ability for one to exist

I think we index too much as an ecosystem on the idea that "client" = app that looks very similar to warpcast

been wondering if there’s a “recipes app” angle here buulding on farcaster gives indexing, sharing, and "recipes i like" for free just needs a little stricter structured content + probably looks way different than warpcast

Based take. The best farcaster clients won't be clones The best warpcast features are the ones that make it look *less* like Twitter. Cloning a is a losing strategy. The best clients will be aggressively differentiated.

Don’t think it’s about looks, but about functionality, other client shouldn’t be used for the same things like browsing feed replying posting etc. But if the functionality is different, UI will follow and will be different as well We still haven’t seen a channel client and I’m not sure splitting attention from primarily using warpcast is something achievable. Supercast works well because it targets business people who need multiple accounts, scheduling and other tooling specific to their needs But majority of users should be happy with warpcast
