It’s interesting how every new narrative drastically shifts social behavior here. I’ve noticed after moxie) that when key high-profile accounts are “touching grass,” a lot of people stop interacting because there’s no “incentive” to engage.

had never thought about it being “work” for core group but i think u are right it absolutely is for ppl building here another one: majority of ppl here seem to genuinely enjoy life, so they get out and about on wknds w ppl irl sometimes they cast about it sometimes not lol

I think a combination of factors is more likely than anything one thing. A large majority of casters still are devs and builders sharing their work. Many probably do take the weekend off, so it’s prolly work for them. If the most active people are less active, then it creates a kind of negative flywheel I think?

I actually think lots of people are still around, just more casually. They tune in and out because they aren't necessarily tied to their phone/computer because of work. So, the engagement itself tends to be different, in some cases deeper and more intimate. I prefer the weekend casts for that reason.

I was wondering the same, until I came to know this. Instagram and Twitter posts also dip during the weekends.

people are trying to enjoy their lives off of a device and anybody with a family is expected to give Farcaster a break to make time for their loved ones

All social is slow on weekends. Less screen time. Kids are home from school, adults are out of work. Scrolling to avoid work is much more common during the week.

I just spend time with my gf because we don’t see much of each other during the week :) Less time on farcaster, more time walking
