I always find the ‘you’re not the target audience’ retort when folks critique a form of art (films, books) interesting.

Meant to pick up an Abby Jimenez after my recently concluded read. Went through her list of books and I saw one with a familiar title, checked it out and realized I had read it before and didn’t really enjoy the experience. Now I have to find a new fascinating author/read.
