Mason bee cocoons. Almost warm enough for them to be put outside! 🐝🐝🐝

A friend gave me a bunch of cocoons about 5 years ago, so since then. We have a “harvesting” party over drinks with friends each fall where we peel open the paper straws where the bees lay their eggs to collect and clean the cocoons to store for the winter. It’s sort of weird but always a good time.

This is so cool. How long have you raised bees?
