when people gift me warps or other tokens, is the idea that I gift them on to others? Or is there more to it?

Warps can be used for buying channels or for sponsoring others to join Farcaster. The various tipping tokens you'll receive are an interesting phenomena. Some have genuine value and can add up to a bit of money when it's claim time. For most of those, you have to stake a certain amount of the token to unlock an allowance that you can tip to others. For example, you need to lock 10,000 degen to get an allowance - you can buy degen to do it right away, or just accumulate tips and claim them at the end of the month. A lot of them come with their own subcultures - Wild has it's own client, Wildcard, for example. Ham just launched Hamcaster which allows creators to make their own tippable token. It's a lot to take in, so just sort of follow where it leads as it leads.
