Bitcoin (BTC) dominance in the cryptocurrency market has risen to 64%, the highest level in four years.

While Bitcoin is trading above $97,000, institutional capital inflows via exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and corporate acquisitions such as Metaplanet with 5,000 BTC have fueled the trend.

Despite a 15% increase, Ethereum (ETH) holds just 7.4% of the total market, the lowest since January 2020. Analysts believe that Bitcoin dominance may soon peak, possibly ushering in altcoin season, but regulatory uncertainty and weak fundamentals could delay this shift.
