Interesting thread. I’m a little disappointed to see the narrowness in some of these frames of thought (on both sides mind you), but I’m glad we can have decent discourse about the future of human organization like this too!

How was I able to internalize it? I think it came from a combination of the following. 1) being dispositionally wired towards action and self-reflection 2) recognizing that there are several different seasons in one’s life when it’s most effective to prioritize certain things 3) reminding myself over and over again over a long period of time that I have all the tools I need to live my best life 4) making an active effort to explore what I am capable of doing 5) (in progress) reminding that I will be dead one day and I’m going to wish I had at least attempted all the things I want to do in my life

I’ve been working on internalizing this mindset. Now that I can actually feel in my soul (instead of only understanding it in my head) I’m feeling more often like I’m being possessed by the spirit of my best self when I do things that are good for me.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! There are definitely possible futures in which we continue to operate alongside advancing technology, especially if we can form a mutually beneficial symbiosis with a coming sentience.
