as long as we continue promoting content using algorithms that are driven by engagement at scale, we will see content that triggers anger, shock, and frustration rise to the top. we desperately need better incentive models and curation methods...or are we doomed to keep repeating this pattern because of human nature?

It amazes me that people CONTINUE TO BROWSE after content makes them angry/upset. Just...do something else? Seeing all these stats about anger-inducing posts helping with platform retention is wild
