I think the young male needs to feel smart about something and definitely doesn’t like being shamed about anything (no one does though tbh)

Bernie actually had a compelling vision  for people to get behind unlike this is version of democrats which are mostly counter positioned

fundamentally the Democratic Party needs to get over its hatred of people who they consider bigots (sometimes with reason)

lots of racists and sexists voted for Obama

Yup - MLK Jr's most impactful ally (LBJ) regularly used the n word

clinton's famous 2016 "basket of deplorables" line is a classic of this genre, bernie got called a racist for talking openly about the white working class.

meanwhile the GOP started calling themselves the party of the working man in spite of all their efforts against the NLRB, for right to work, etc. 

instead of attacking people for their past votes, dems might call in them into the fold and speak to them with a vision for their future

are you familiar with spiral dynamics / integral theory? Dems are mega "green" and woke is the toxic cancer that came as an unintended by-product of pluralism (communitarian).
