i think the store of value thesis is finally going to play out, which is the part of bitcoin i understood the least. if it does i think we do enter a "supercycle" in that bitcoin becomes legitimized on an insane level and it changes the global financial system forever. i didn't see that possibility until today. most of bitcoin's other usecases (fast payments, smart contracts, censorship resistant money, etc..) is now being fulfilled by other blockchains but SoV may be the most important anyways

i dont hold nearly any bitcoin, and i keep coming back to this consistent belief of mine that "they're going to be sending each other bitcoin in space" i love eth, but i suffer from a social and habitual bias that i should have corrected by moving at least some into btc during the bear

yesser. I bought bitcoin for my kids when they were born. to retain value while the legacy system inflates value away.

The thing is literally any coin could feasibly have store of value as a property. Bitcoin definitely has the narrative of being “first” I think stables have a better chance of actually being useful outside SOV

This is why there was huge debates within the community when colorcoins, bitcoin cash and other items that wanted to do enhancements that led to fractures. Some ppl felt it was already good as a SOV so why make it faster or cheaper etc. When moving large amounts you are okay waiting 10 mins. Ton of discussion on the “spirit” of the white paper or something that is more literal. It’s honestly insane to me as someone who was around since 2013
