Whenever I get a new computer, I treat it like a pristine temple... only downloading the highest quality apps, clearing the downloads folder, following an immaculate directory system, etc. Within two weeks, it degrades into one of those chaotic monkey temples

exactly. then comes the desktop folder called “stuff” where everything goes to die but at least it looks clean
