Is the Nickel Boys worth a read? Really enjoyed Zone One but thought Harlem Shuffle was a piece of shit.

As bad as it is, I only knew Colson Whitehead as a NYT critic who panned a Richard Ford book, so Ford spit on him at a party. I saw his ads for Underground Railroad around LA at the time and this book was pretty aggressively recommended to me though I understand why, but I don't remember being too impressed tbh. Ngl, I'm a bigger fan of Ford and was surprised this was opened. Normally my recently opened is usually full or either Sportswriter series or Updike's Rabbit.
