Focus on verbs, not nouns I am having much more success writing now that I _write every week_ instead of trying to have _a newsletter_ This is part of the reason why I am reluctant to have _a podcast_, even though I am excited by _talking to new people_ https://warpcast.com/markfishman/0x88017ecf Figure out what gives you energy and purpose, then focus on doing it for its own sake. Don't let the work evolve into a noun that distracts you from the verb. As @pmillerd puts it in his new book, you have to protect your Good Work.

I’ve honestly been contemplating moving to a writing focused view vs writing my weekly newsletter. Although I do enjoy the time constraints and the format I want to explore some ideas, but limited time with everything else. Idk where I’m going with this other than your post and where my brain is now, feels like I should try your approach for a bit 🤷♂️

“We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing - an actor, a writer - I am a person who does things - I write, I act - and I never know what I'm going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.” – Stephen Fry
