The more I think about Account Abstraction, the more I think that freemium business models -- that cover (and hide) the gas costs for users initially -- will become major drivers of web3 mainstream adoption.

For sure -- sponsoring gas is basically paid user acquisition for Web3. What's cool is also that a DApp can drop their own ERC20 tokens to a user, then charge those tokens as gas when interacting with the DApp, so then it's not just paid user acquisition but also increased liquidity/utility for the DApp tokens.
