SpaceX, founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, is an American aerospace company that has revolutionized space technology.
Its mission is to reduce space transportation costs and enable the colonization of Mars. In 2008, SpaceX’s Falcon 1 became the first privately developed liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit.
The company further innovated with the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets, emphasizing reusability to lower costs. In 2012, its Dragon spacecraft became the first commercial vehicle to deliver cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). By 2020, SpaceX launched astronauts to the ISS aboard the Crew Dragon, marking the first commercial crewed flight.
The company is also developing Starship, a fully reusable spacecraft designed for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
