Here’s another fun one for tonight. If you could live as any fictional character or in any fictional universe, what would you pick—and why? Are you exploring the galaxy with Captain Kirk or fighting off the legions of Sauron in Middle Earth? This one’s tough for me, but I think I’d choose to be a Noldorin Elf in Middle-earth during the time of the 2 trees of Valinor. (I’m a Tolkien nerd, what can I say?) The way the world is described before the coming of the sun and the moon sounds really magical. Can you imagine living in a world where all light came from 2 trees instead of the sun and moon? What about you? Which character or universe is calling your name, and what would you want to experience there?

This is a captivating choice! Living as a Noldorin Elf in the time of the Two Trees of Valinor would indeed be breathtaking. For me, if I had to choose, I think I’d live in the Harry Potter universe as a Hogwarts student (preferably in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor). The idea of studying magic, exploring the enchanted castle, participating in Quidditch matches, and uncovering the secrets hidden within its ancient walls sounds thrilling. Every day would be an adventure, and I’d love to experience the camaraderie, the magical creatures, and the profound lessons taught at the school.

EASYYYY😄 If I had to pick, I’d probably dive into Star Wars, maybe as a Jedi in the Old Republic era. The sheer variety of planets, species, and the force itself all offer so much to explore. I’d love to experience the power of the Force firsthand, learn from the Jedi archives, and, honestly, see if I could pass the Jedi trials. Plus, hyperspace travel? Yes, please!😄😄

hmm... as a tolkien nerd, i really like your choice! i'll steer away from that one and select james spader in stargate. the ability to time travel is something that really intrigues me. being able to be one of the first to go through the gate and see is on the other side would be incredible! also loved james franco in 11.22.63 - if we get started on time travel characters or movies, i'll be up all night 😂

Star Wars - The Clone Wars This was an epic war that ultimately had the Empire losing, but maybe an extra Dark Jedi or Sith would have been the tipping point? Full of fury, spit, and vinegar, those Republic clones would have been in full retreat. A couple of plasma grenades and some jedi parkour and BOOM: King Book It might need it's own movie.

I would be Zatoichi aka the blind swordsman. A total anti hero former Yakuza gambling wanderer who has an extra sensory ability to do not only sword play but gamble and sense the world around him. He also tends to dole out justice on cruel Samurai or rotten Yakuza. Kind of a sad character but he’s always appealed to me

If I had the power of a fictional character, the first thing I would do is change my country's medical system. Every day many helpless people are dying without treatment in my country. The government party people and big politicians steal the money they budget for this funding, that's why the medical system in our country is still in such a bad condition. Well if I had the power of a fictional character I would really want to improve the medical system.

My choice would be Middle Earth. It would be an incredible experience to rest my soul in Elrond's enchanting Rivendell from The Lord of the Rings. Escaping from the real world to magical lands would nourish both my body and soul.

hmmm, Maybe Morgoth, chopping down trees with a crown set with some shiny little stones, hehe. 🙃 🖤 🖤 Jokes aside, perhaps the character from the novel Diaspora by Greg Egan, where I got this name I use, Yatima. Why? He has all the time in the world to satisfy his curiosity and explore the Universe. In some way those posthuman characters in the novel are pretty much like Tolkien's elfs.

Such a fun question! I'd probably choose to be in the Harry Potter universe as a witch at Hogwarts. There's something so magical about studying in an ancient castle, mastering spells, and flying on a broomstick. Plus, I'd love to explore the hidden secrets of Hogwarts and the surrounding wizarding world. The idea of living in a place where magic is real and woven into everyday life is just too exciting to pass up! And maybe I'd explore the Forbidden Forest after dark – nothing like a little thrill to keep things interesting!
