Now that channels use a membership model, Warpcast should introduce user sortable feeds. 

Ways to sort that would make sense:
- By engagement
- By recency
- By moderators
- By followers
- By non-followers

This would allow channel members to surface content in the ways they find most appealing.

Yeah kinda like reddit. I know we won’t be able to get all of the same granularity, but I would love to be able to sort a large channel by my followers in that channel for example.

/degen will have 1000s of members one day. I’d like to sort it by the members I know.

It would also help to have a recency/engagement feed since chrono tends to move fast. Let people see the most popular casts for the last few days rather than have to scroll and try to find them.

Like Reddit?

I’d definitely love to see different ways to slice a channel but casts only go back one month by design so it will be hard to see “all time” like Reddit. And that’s the first thing I do when I check out a new subreddit. Show me most liked of all time. The top 10 posts give me a good indication for the subreddit.

Recaster

Maybe not a top priority, but a priority. 

Channels are a lot better now than they were (i think) - but finding the best casts with reverse chron feeds is tough. 

Even if it’s not made this granular, just a popular/recent would solve a lot of the content surfacing trouble that people have. 

Talking with @haole, I think we will see /recaster do this soon along with some other cool channel stuff.

What if only 15% of people will ever click through to channel feeds? Worth making top priority?

If this was popular I would expect another client to try it. Easy to build as a website, too.

If I had to guess why most people won’t use this is a feed app is all about pull to refresh in the main feed and everything else is secondary.

Yeah that would be recency and engagement. I think adding followers sort would make sense, since large channels you might not want to send feed of 1000 random people but 100 people who you follow in that channel.

I would like at least “new” and “popular” sorting. Suggested in the channels feedback, but no response

Giving options in the channels would be amazing! Top rated, new trending, so the best casts will always be seen! It would be great if the following were introduced.
