My /success story is most likely unique in this community. I’m a PhD scientist and work on discovering next-gen cancer immunotherapy drugs but it was a hell of a road to get there. I spent most of my 20’s in school or working for minimum wage in a laboratory on very specific subjects that only a handful of people truly understand. Transitioning into biopharma was the start of something better as instead of working on obscure science by myself I’m able to combine my unique skillset of mass spectrometry based proteomics with others with different expertise to tackle problems that are impossible to solve alone. I've seen my work directly help patients with no other options which keeps me motivated. Most of you know me from /cattown where I've been focusing on strategic partnerships and to get /cattown visibility on Farcaster. Working with devs day to day has been a great experience and I encourage others to do the same. Become passionate about a project, talk to the devs, and go from there!

Appreciate it man and for creating a space for me to share. It's nerdy but the coolest thing I do at work is my science, in one experiment we can take a protease we know nothing about and understand it's substrate specificity completely. So in 1 day I can learn more about a protease than in 100yrs of science.
