Lack of interesting content is part of the issue, but I don’t think it’s the biggest cause for the decline in DAU. Warpcast is not friendly to new users. Hell, a lot of them end up in the ‘see more replies’ section on their 1st day. Ultimately, I don’t come to here for the content. I come here for the people.

Absolutely fkin truth right there 👍 I’ve been hustling and trying to get followers and friends for months. Farcaster is 500% harder to get going than X unless your shooting tip cannons off(not a poke at those guys they do great) or farming. It’s always “interesting” content as the excuse.

i try to check the 'see more replies' section, and there are many users i’ve been missing even though i check them regularly. it makes me wonder how tough it must be for bigger names with way more followers. 'see more replies' should be reserved for spammers and bots that have been reported by a certain number of users over a specific period of time to ensure no innocent users get stuck there

I agree with this for sure dude. The way things are set up isn't very kind to new users and unlike other social apps you don't just have to sign up and use the app especially if you want to take part in any of the 100 things that are going on here and be a part of any of those communities (degen, ham etc). I can't imagine going through all of that effort and then finding out nobody even see's your replies and there is almost no way to make friends and have interactions. That has to be super discouraging. I have a couple friends who have tried very hard to come here and be a part of this and just end up casting into the void and eventually losing interest. I love this place but I would love to see it be a whole lot friendlier to the new friends who join.

Farcaster content compared to content on web 2 platforms Cannot be compared. The one gets millions of uploads a day the other maybe tens of thousands. Platforms like Facebook and IG hitting a billion users. I’m not sure how many we on. We just can’t compete with them rn not at scale not with quality. There’s is a simple onboarding process download the app sign up also free. We pay 5 usd. Need to create a wallet etc. too many hurdles. Then when on farcaster, as a new user you’re invisible. Your replies are hidden , you’ll need to buy fan tokens to become more visible. Unless you have great content and a good network. Growth sucks here cause it’s hard for new users period. Until we make it easier it won’t change.

@maretus.eth you are a real good man, thanks for this statement, this is exactly the problem many new users are facing, I have bring in more than 50 people and I have more than 500 members in my crypto group but the truth is that many of them feel ignore by trying hard to mingle but all their efforts is in vain.

💯 agree. The only reason I was able to hang on was because 1)@zwillow basically forced me to. Haha 2) she tagged me in everything every day for weeks. And put me on the path to the glorious people and community like /success . I couldn't imagine joining today with all the new things and changes to existing. I've been here for months and still am trying to understand what's to come.
