We will ALWAYS fall back to old ways. Wants privacy -> goes to Web3 … nope. XTMP + public blockchain = no privacy + spam based on onchain data. Full circle. You don’t need to know someone’s personal info to invade their privacy. And people are excited about it! I hope I’m wrong. Tell me I’m wrong.

Crypto / Web3 being framed in terms of privacy was the original sin. People conflated pseudonymity as privacy. I would argue that the lack of privacy is crypto's virality. Super easy to flex when everyone can see your bags. But, along the way a bunch of tech was built that enables us to deliver that promised privacy.

Yes, a lot of advancements towards a more private, or at least controlled user experience. I don’t mind sharing some data but I just want transparency and plurality. But the trend we take towards profit will always lead us away from that pipe dream. BUT I’m here to learn so if XTMP protects us from this then great!
