Do you think not enough people are getting paid in crypto? Or that the current tools are good enough?

The current tools are spreadsheets or “I don't care/track”. I think most get paid in stables or fiat and rewards/bonuses in the project's native tokens. The signal we got was that the most urgent problem to solve is income and capital gain tax for workers earning crypto, but that's still a couple of steps away
