Just started reading Tim Urban’s book : what’s our problem? Thoroughly enjoying it so far. Idea labs vs Echo chambers. The equivalent of that in social media is quite evident.

I guess a social network in its early days can function as an idea lab, but I wonder when it could potentially pivot and become an echo chamber. Possibly with more number of users. If we can figure that out, can we prevent it from becoming one?
