The "cost of intelligence" is going down, and more jobs are becoming automatable.  What does this mean for compensation across job categories? As AI models excel in Humanity's Last Exam (HLE), how will this impact err.. the H - humanity? How can we prepare for this shift?

We need to rethink education & training to focus on these uniquely human skills. But before that, we need to have a definition of "uniquely human skills" - I am sure that will keep evolving every week, or every day.

Other than compensation, for a smooth and equitable transition, we also need to consider universal basic income for people and AI taxes on employers (e.g., pay a tax for every job AI replaces).

I also worry about the future of learning and curiosity in general. How will our schools adapt to prepare our kids for a world where AI can do most things? Lots of questions, very few answers.

One likely outcome is a widening compensation gap. Jobs requiring uniquely human skills (physical jobs, highly complex problem-solving, empathy) may see increased value, while routine, automatable tasks see decreased compensation or even elimination.
