C++ is a general-purpose, compiled, and essentially high-level, object-oriented, and multithreaded programming language that supports procedural programming, data abstraction, and object-oriented programming. It has static data types, free-form typing, and multi-model capabilities, and is commonly interpreted as a language that supports structured programming, object-oriented programming, and generic programming. Since objects in C++ can be created from classes that are not bound by any class hierarchy or inheritance, C++ also supports object-oriented programming. C++, along with its ancestor C, is one of the most popular programming languages. C++ is considered a middle-level language; it has features of both high-level and low-level programming languages ββat the same time. C++ was developed by Danish mathematician Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Labs in 1979 to improve upon and build on C, calling it "C with classes". It was renamed C++ in 1983. 1 reply
