Giving me the freedom: - to be a part of the meetings I wasn’t supposed to be at. - to explore, experiment without worrying too much about failure Especially early in my career. Appears, I still value the same things from my boss.

I was having trouble balancing work and life after having my first kid. I tried to quit. My CIO didn’t let me and suggested I go part time which I did for a few years before coming back full time. Looking back it could have gone so differently.

An NBA player who went to school in my home state reached out and asked me to run their business. Did that for 6 months before ultimately returning to school to finish my degree. No crazy outcome, but I learned a ton about working with athletes, operating, and being in “the room where it happens” with big corps
