What is the Pectra Upgrade?
Pectra is one of Ethereum’s biggest upgrades to date, aiming to make the network faster, cheaper, and more secure. Scheduled to go live on May 7, 2025, this update combines two major previous upgrades — Prague and Electra — into a single coordinated release.
With this upgrade:
-Transactions will become faster and more affordable,
-Wallets will be smarter and easier to use,
-The Ethereum network will operate more securely and efficiently,
-Validators will be able to operate with larger ETH balances,
-The groundwork will be laid for Ethereum to scale even further in the future.
