serious question for christians. what if in the end, god didn't come down and die on the cross, and the atheists are right, and all this is just a story? what then?

Then I'll have lived a very full and happy life that wasn't focused on myself. I'll have stood by my beliefs and hopefully pass knowing I was a good person. Also, there are significantly more written records of the stories in the Bible than any other historical texts. So essentially more people have passed along the history/stories than anything else. There is also loads of archeological evidence to back some of the facts in the Bible
