Spammy — focused on getting something for free that you're not interested in, etc. 3. Malicious — phishing link, harassment

If you're curious about how the feed works now, it's basically: 1. Take casts from your following and order them reverse chron 2. Move casts higher if they're from someone you interact with a lot 3. Move casts higher if they have a lot of engagement 4. Move casts lower if you've seen them before

Our top priority this week is fixing spam in popular channels. The core problem is: - Channels with large distribution attract casters - Some casters post spam or even just slightly off topic stuff - Moderating it is exhausting and thankless We want to find a solution that can be decentralized across clients.

We just kicked off a project to revamp feed quality that @cmlad.eth and @akshaan are leading Problem today: most active users a) follow a lot of people and channels and b) rarely unfollow them. If you follow more than a few hundred people and a new meta (e.g. cheese) emerges, it will quickly saturate your feed.
