This got me thinking, maybe there’s something where you trade hashes of predictions - if it’s revealed to be right, presumably the price would go up Somewhat similar to the prophecy markets idea with NFTs, but where the creator can choose to reveal the prediction after the fact?

One benefit to this: Eliminates the feedback loop between predictions input and outcomes. This is probably overlooked, but predictions certainly influence outcomes, especially in multitudes.

Definitely agree. Would lead to more independent decision making - less group think/pressure to confirm to consensus. Wondering if there would be a standard reveal countdown for predictions? Or would it be up to predictors to decide if/when to reveal?

We see this very much evident in political polls. They all serve a two-fold purpose: to inform the pollster and to influence the participants.
