Why crypto had huge adoption on things like farming/trading/degening/meme/worthlessjpegs/shitcoins and stuff?

Could it be that the chain is pretty damn expensive, that the few genuine/sustainable/organic use cases that we have, must give tremendous returns for it to make sense to use it today. People ain't stupid

"Buy this and you will get more money" is the easiest and most universal value proposition.

Much harder to do something else, esp given the costs of onchain actions as you said
