I think the way to reform university is to create the 10x competitor. The be so good they can’t ignore you option

What this unblocks is the need for accreditation which is a total racket and the single variable blocking competition

Create a school that produces total studs,employers won’t care about accreditation

The problem is accreditation I guess, especially in med & law. For engineers it might be interesting - you could have practical program with mentoring from e.g., SpaceX engineers where you build your prototypes and learn by doing.

YC didn’t have to solve the status problem - a successful business in our society grants immense status

if you drop the next Postgres on the world, few people will understand your alpha nerd status

maybe elite niche subcultures need their own YC…
