can someone (for the sake of a thought experiment) steel man the argument for why this move is net positive for consumers? imo easier to argue why it is good for $mother and iggy and bad for consumers so let’s challenge ourselves intellectually $25 USDC for best answer @bountybot

while the token is largely a speculative bellwether of Iggy's fanbase in the broader attention market it's also the experimental bellwether in a similar spirit to the "Bowie Bond" where the artist works the business as well as the raw form (as Warhol would admire). mechanically, accepting $mother back could be a starting point for a deflationary burn, which is fair game in tokenomics. culturally, this is also a possible meeting of two scenes; younger fans of pumpdotfun-esque games, as well as older supporters of the music & performance. this experiment is context-dependent and it may yield different results for any given artist. in both scenes, there may be a common thread leading to some untapped genre that feeds back to onchain media creation. also, any chance to get rid of the Ticketmaster gouging is worthwhile on that alone. (this is a steelman, I'm not interested in "yet another fungible artist token", coulda just been onchain tracks/videos in a zora collection)
