ETH is the native money of the Ethereum ecosystem. Unlike BTC, ETH has it's OWN financial system built around it. Its network effect is so big that it even influences other networks to build using the Ethereum Virtual Machine. There is NO second best.

gl while the eth2 rollup centric roadmap has a lot of pain points that have lead to a somewhat fragmented ecosystem, the fact that you can just do things and make one while inheriting the security of the most secure network in the fucking world is based beyond comparison

But like any L1 not purely optimized for scalability, Ethereum hit its limits. Enter horizontal scaling: Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism emerged, each carving unique execution environments. This diversification was exciting but fragmented user experiences and liquidity. This remains a major challenge today.

have noticed a tendency of CT to look at their own circumstances and generalize this to all possible use example: "onchain collateralized lending isn't impactful because it doesn't help me. i need uncollateralized borrows" reality: ~77% of loans worldwide are collateralized

My hope is anybody building ux or wallets who read vitalik blog have many disagreements with it or find some parts of it unnuanced Vitalik thinks about low level protocol stuff most of the time. We should be bigger experts on this topic than Vitalik

i know some are writing it off but DeSci is interesting precisely because it is the kind of radical economic ownership model Ethereum was designed to make possible with proper regulations one day, onchain fundraising via legally-backed tokens will be the ONLY way to fundraise
