The Lincoln Curse: Many believe that President Abraham Lincoln was cursed because the actor who assassinated him, John Butts, uttered a curse before shooting him. Lincoln was the first president to be assassinated in a theater, and the curse supposedly extends to all subsequent presidents who die in similar circumstances.
