Living rent free in my head: How I caught someone off guard by depicting them accurately without knowing what they looked like. Through how they drew in that instance, I could triangulate an image, since how you draw is your spiritual signature. My decision to work through AI was completely intentional in this way and challenges my urge to just pick up my pencil and draw, which I still do especially when I need to guide the artistic direction of a piece. This image is a challenge to myself to reconstruct an image I made using my mind this time… but a bit more. Also, a question. Did I get it right? I may never know. Why not Zora or Rodeo this time? I like owning my contracts. I can do cool stuff with them when I want to, however I want to and not worry about losing access or usability/features. I’m also at a place where I want my work to be valued for the years I have spent refining my process and am not afraid to stand up for myself independently in this effort. There’s a lot of talk about supporting β€˜invisible’ creators like me that is done when it comes time to virtue signal. I’ll let you know when the signals reach me. Elements present in Dream Loops - Originals are present, but so are other elements aesthetics I have previously developed, a lot of which I selectedly keep unpublished but may have shared publicly in the past at some point. I also rather enjoy my vertical format, something I continued this year. Someone told me to be mindful of celebrities who borrow inspiration without attribution in a well meaning statement to point out the level of my work, but I exist in an environment where that’s the default operating mode of many; who see these self-inspired carefully curated representations, and view my creativity as free labor to which they are entitled to have without providing any sustaining support. It’s why I find blockchain so full of utility in terms of archiving my efforts.
