There’s a lot of hate around Rodeo on the other side of the purple arch and im trying to make people think a little bit.. If you agree with me on this thought and believe in the power of Rodeo please make some noise under this tweet https://x.com/trebor69_fc/status/1882001132303835327?s=46&t=NBq6QHftQQZvtPNF8KQWwQ

I don't hate Rodeo, as a matter of fact I collect art there and I think is trying to show and encourage a new way of collecting art. However, I'm wondering what will be the cost of this in a long term for artists. It's difficult to get out of the concept of collecting art for cents, and I mean incredible art, and sell 1/1 or limited editions at reasonable prices. And there is like a flood of content, so many that it's too much at least to me. Artists should be well paid for their art, I can't think of it just as creating content. The only way to get good profits is if you are collected in a big volume and that's not happen with artists that are starting to offer their art on web3 Probably I'm wrong, I guess the time will tell.

i totally understand your point.. it's true, its not happening for new artists right away, but they're not selling for bigger prices either.. Rodeo's distribution allows newbies to get seen much quicker than on twitter or farcaster or other nft platforms.. (exept zora which has pretty much the same distribution system) once they build a decent collector base they can start listing they're better and rarer works as 1/1s and slowly increase their prices.. most of us got used to the 2021-2022 era where even if you were new, you could get notice and sell at 0.1 eth and more.. now supply is really too much and there's little demand.. i agree that artists should be paid well.. but the reality is 0.1% of ANY kind of creator endeavour makes a living off of it.. there's millions of insanely talented musicians playing for free on the streets, while 0..0001% of the musicians make millions filling arenas with their concerts.. (who most of the times dont even know what a chord is..) it's unfair, but its the reality
