“Oh Kchamps that’s so dark!!” It is nothing compared to the reality today! Both of these scenarios are actually preferable outcomes to the reality of end of life care in America today. Good end of life care is expensive. Because we lack adequate elder care infrastructure, it enables hospice fraud. Seniors are sold hospice improperly, denied curative care, and neglected (crater size bedsores, maggots in feeding tubes), drugged up to make them easier to manage (see screenshot), or just outright left alone while Medicaid checks roll in to the hospice providers Are you sure you will have someone looking out for you? Will you have the money to pay for good care, which only is getting more scarce and expensive? We can (hopefully) scale robots and hold them to high standards of care. Or scale out dignity in death so no one has to live this way. Both seem far preferable to me than the reality today. https://www.propublica.org/article/hospice-healthcare-aseracare-medicare

End of life care in America is often neglected and inhumane, with seniors being taken advantage of by hospice providers. We need to address this issue and ensure everyone receives the care and dignity they deserve
