Lefties who are tired of election “panic”: what’s the alternative? When was the panic not warranted? I’m serious in my asking.

Watch lefties just not vote at all bc Kamala was a prosecutor in her early years 🫠

I'll be campaigning to get as many leftists as possible voting for Jill Stein. I definitely would not support Kamala but more because the Dems are die-hard imperialist warmongers and not just because she was a prosecutor (though that is also bad).

One victory at a time friend. I do understand some of your core frustrations but… What you are describing is literally organizing defeat.

Why should we collaborate with the dnc, every 2 years the dnc says this is the most important election of our lives, we must rally around this moderate candidate and keep this tragedy from happening, and progressives do then get fucked. I don't even agree with the dnc platform, i just want people to have rights( which I don't trust the dnc not to fuck over other groups because they have time and time again while doing the bare minimum to say they are progressive) on a global scale Biden would be center right at best

Bernie and Warren had massive roles in setting the agenda of Biden’s first term. This how “build back better” took shape and then eventually became IRA etc… So I don’t think it’s quite as simple as the progressives getting fucked but I do understand the sentiment… particularly around the dnc and Bernie in 2016.

Bernie and the progressives have been completely neutralized by the war machine by playing along with the Dems in exchange for some domestic policy influence (notice their influence never touches core issues of empire maintenance like weapons to Israel, 900 military bases around the planet, mass incarceration or political prisoners or Dem Party corruption or the Epstein files)

Bernie enabled the war machine though, kosovo, Bosnia, and after 9/11, bernie busted up a strike as mayor at a ge plant making gatling guns to send to fight the sandista's, and the f35 our militaries worst project is heavily based in Vermont because of bernie, so like idk why he gets such a pass

I would have voted to support the NATO bombing campaign to prevent ethnic cleansing by Serbian forces as well. I think Sanders record on war and peace overall is pretty damn stellar and don't give him any shit for diverting military spending to his own state. That's just kind of his job. He favored local union leaders & workers at a local GE Plant over activists preventing them from doing their jobs. So again a little more nuance. You can disagree with him on these things if you want tho, but for me it sounds like making the perfect the enemy of the good and a kind of politics where we never make anything good happen for anybody ever will be the result. If Sanders isn't good enough then there is no one in politics you can work with to build an effective legislative coalition. I don't think that's accurate and would argue we can accomplish quite a lot working with people we don't agree with 100% of the way. MLK was completely anti-war but he still worked with LBJ to accomplish great things.

100% Waiting for perfect is such a state of privilege & indicative of so much wrong in politics and life in general.. So over purity tests, as if anyone in real life exists like that. Everyone has sh*ts that stink, regardless. Perfect is the absolute enemy of good, and what I’ve seen over the years regarding politics is that for not all, but for *most* folks, these are just cynical and lazy excuses to not actually get involved, but still be free to complain complain complain about it all.
